The Hi-Vis Kingborough Tigers Travelled to Pontville oval to take on Brighton on the weekend. It was a great weekend for the club with 3 wins from 4 games.
The seniors made a welcome return to the winners circle with a comfortable 19 point win over the Robins. The Tigers started well with 6 first quarter goals, 3rd gamer Hamish Kingston led the way with 3 goals for the term while Jack Philp was again lively inside the forward 50. |

With 1 game to go this season the boys stand in 2nd place with 10 wins 5 losses, 2 games clear of third placed New Norfolk and 2 games behind ladder leaders Lauderdale.
The game against Lauderdale 2 weeks ago was the best coach “Doc” Goold had seen so far this year.

The Kingborough Tigers had their season launch last Wednesday night with around 80 people in attendance. The night was hosted by Dan Garlic and featured a football panel consisting of football identities Matthew Armstrong, Blair Brownless & Craig 'Spider' Carter. the panel shared their stories of success which the young Tigers hopefully soaked up.
The Kingborough Tigers will again be a young side but with a full preseason will be looking at a big improvement on their 2007 season.

The Hi Vis Kingborough Tigers have hit the track hard so far this pre season with good numbers showing great committment. Over 70 faces have fronted for preseason with between 40 and 55 players training each night. There is a buzz in the air at Tigerland with the young Tigers ready to roar and mix it with the best sides in premier league football. |

On Friday the 2nd of November the Hi Vis Kingborough Tigers along with Hydraulic and Pneumatics Engineering held their annual corporate golf day. We had almost 100 keen golfers tee off at the beautiful North West Bay Golf Club for a wonderful day of golf in the sun.

The Tigers pre season has kicked off with a bang with 60 people attending the first session. Pre season training is now into week 5 with the young Tigers starting on Monday 29th of October.
With newly appointed fitness coach Terry “Tezza” Jayne onboard, pre season is sure to be challenging with the players already being tested and pushed to their limits. Driving past Kingston Beach you’ll see the squad being put through the wringer. Hydration manager Robbie Kiss is flat chat keeping up with the water demands of a thirsty squad working overtime. Club coach Cameron Blight is pleased with the numbers at training ranging from 45-60 players per night. |

On Friday the 29th of September the Hi Vis Kingborough Tigers held their Annual Awards night at the Kingborough Tigers clubrooms. The night was a great success with over 120 people attending the event. The event commenced at 7pm with the Reserves count first up. |

The Hi Vis Kingborough Tigers Under 17 season got off to a nail bitter. With Senior player Dean Cornish the new appointed coach the boys couldn’t wait to hit the field. Playing Lauderdale in round one the match came down to the wire just loosing by three points in a hard fought game. Shane Hall, Josh Morse, Brad Bailey, Michael Conway, Baden Cooper and Hamish Kingston were the dominant forces of the day. |

The Kingborough Tigers Football Club has come a long way in 6 months. Only in January did the club appoint senior coach Cameron Blight as the lead man. Since then the young Tigers have worked both hard on and off the field with 23 eligible under 19’s players making it into the senior team including 4 eligible Under 17 players. |

2007 Under 19’s Results So Far…
The Hi Vis Kingborough Tigers Football Club have a wealth of young talent in their 2007 playing squad. So far in the 2007 season there have been 21 eligible under 19’s players step up and have a crack at Premier League Senior football. Thomas Kink, Brodie Clarke, Josh Mitchell and Daniel Archer are still eligible to play Under 17’s football but are highly respected around the club even at such a young age. Brady Jones, Matthew Cleary, Jack Philp, Brad Conway and Anthony Cupit are eligible Under 19’s players establishing themselves as quality Senior players, with Jones being captain in the victory over Brighton at Pontville in Round 11 |

Since Monday the 30th of May 2007 I have been employed through AFL Tasmania and The Hi Vis Kingborough Tigers as a club trainee. What I do at the Kingborough Tigers is many of things including, creating Excel spreadsheets so that the players are able to see there weekly stats, use the editing tool Prowess, emailing, website updates, membership data basing, set up club rooms for home games and use sporting pulse to enter our online team lists and results, to name a few things. At AFL Tas my main role is as a School Ambassador. |

The Hi Vis Kingborough Tigers notched up their first clean sweep of the season when they traveled to Pontville to take Brighton. The Under 19s guided by Mark Steele started the day well, banging home 8 final quarter goals to record a massive 106 point win. The Reserves with Matthew Haas at the helm, then made it 2 from 2 posting a gutsy 10 point win. A young senior side took on their more fancied rivals and despite trailing by 33 points at the first change dug deep to draw level at 3 quarter time to eventually run out winners 106 to 96. |
